Sythasite Rocks

I’ve written a lot in the past about online website design tools, but haven’t found any that could do all the things I wanted. That was until I used Synthasite. After hearing about it on Larry Ferlazzo’s blog, I gave it a whirl and before long I’d created a whole site with it. It’s located at edutech.synthasite.com.

  1. Thanks for the kind post MrMan!

I’m impressed with the site that you were able to create in such a short space of time. It’s encouraging to see that educators and learners are able to find value in SynthaSite.

I’d love to hear if there are any features or services that would make SynthaSite an even more effective tool for you and your students. Perhaps enhancements to the Google Map widget that would assist your geography classes?

  2. Glad you liked it. I found synthasite a joy to use – very powerful. This is something I will definitely use with my students.

If there were any enhancements made to the widgets, I’d recommend adding teachertube.com videos, voicethreads, and sketchcasts to the list of easy embeds. While it’s no problem to use the html widget, novices might find it more accessible if there was an automatic widget for these sites.

I’ll certainly be recommending synthasite to others. Thanks for making a great tool.
